Halquist's Tiles Exceed Slip Resistance Requirements
Halquist's natural Midwestern dolomite limestone tiles were tested by an independent laboratory for slip resistance in accordance with ASTM C1028 (Standard Test Method for Evaluating the Static Coefficient of Friction of Ceramic Tile and Other Like Surfaces by the Horizontal Dynamometer Pull Meter Method). These indepedent studies show that Halquist's Midwestern Limestone Tiles average a slip resistance of .87 on a dry surface and .77 when wet. This EXCEEDS the New York City's strict Department of Transportation minimum of .55.
